Stephen Sosangelis

Vice President/Investments

Stephen began his career in 1992 working for a boutique tax and financial planning firm, where he focused on insurance planning for buy/sell agreements. He joined a large brokerage firm in 1997 and joined Stifel's Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, office in 2019. Throughout this extensive tenure, Stephen has gained a thorough understanding of what it's like to sit on "both sides of the table" as it relates to the professional and personal aspects of financial planning. His early career focused on the core competencies of investment selection, business succession, and estate planning strategies. Working with owners of closely held businesses became a reality when the plan he helped construct for his family had to be implemented with the passing of his father. His firsthand knowledge of the "art" – working with family members – and the "science" – the intricacies of building a customized investment plan – has been a key element of his success in forging long-term client relationships throughout his career. Put simply, Stephen's philosophy places his clients at the center of his entire practice.

Stephen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Delaware, where he also was an executive committee member and on the Inter Fraternal Council of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity from 1986 to 1989.  He has also been involved as a past committee member for the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Small Business Awards, and as a past board member, treasurer, endowment chair, finance committee chair, golf outing chair, and youth basketball coach for St. Luke's Greek Orthodox Church.  He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).
